My Story

My story began in the heart of my childhood, where my fascination with agriculture and farming took root. From an early age, the notion of growing vegetables and fruits filled me with joy. I vividly remember cooking my first meal at the age of six; although the dish wasn’t perfect, my mother’s encouraging words—”it’s delicious!”—sparked a passion that has only grown since then.

Cooking has become a cherished hobby of mine, as I’ve embraced the flavours and techniques from cuisines around the world. I firmly believe that exploring diverse foods and cultures has the power to unite people from all walks of life, fostering connection and understanding.

In 2012, I took a significant step on my journey by securing my very own allotment. Those early mornings and late evenings spent tending to my plants during the summer months have become a cherished part of my routine. I am deeply invested in practising permaculture and polyculture, which has not only enriched my gardening skills but has also deepened my understanding of herbs and spices. Every plant that I nurture tells a story, and through this journey, I’ve cultivated both my garden and my connection to nature. My passion for farming and cooking continues to blossom, and I look forward to what lies ahead in this fulfilling journey and also meeting lots of you who want to know more about growing vegetables.
